It’s SHOW WEEK! We have reached capacity for both showings of our spring concert! If for some reason you were not able to grab a ticket, please email Amy Yeackley, ayeackley@gmail.com or myself, Haugenh@leonschools.net
If you are auditioning for leadership on Monday, May 17th, please see the schedule posted on Ms. Haugen’s office door. A schedule has also been emailed to your Canvas email.
Don’t forget about the Trojan Band Banquet! See information below and this flyer. Order Form and money are due on Friday, May 14th.
Trojan Band Spring Concert
All students in our program have been working hard on music and choreography for our [FREE] Spring Concert. There will be two showings on May 15th, 2:00pm and 6:30pm. Due to social distancing requirements, each concert will have a maximum capacity of 125 people. Masks will be required while in the auditorium. Thank you for your support of the Lincoln Trojan Band! We can’t wait to share our music with you!
Concert Attire
We have our Spring Concert coming up on May 15. There will be two socially distanced performances in the auditorium, at 2pm and 6:30pm. All students will perform in both shows, and parents will be given an opportunity to get tickets to one or the other. There will be more info coming about this later this month.
Concert Attire is required for the Spring Concert! Please review info below about purchasing concert attire. Concert Attire includes the Green Concert Jacket which is supplied by the band. Students are responsible for purchasing the following:
- Black Tuxedo Pants
- White Wing Collar Tuxedo Shirt
- Black Bow Tie
- Black Cummerbund
- Tall Black Socks
- Black Velocity Marching Shoes or other Black Dress Shoes (no high heels).
You can purchase concert attire at some local stores (such as JCPenney or M&R Clothing) or online at Southeastern Performance Apparel (https://sepapparel.com/) . There are more options, especially for girls, when purchasing online.
If you have any questions about concert attire or uniforms in general, please let me know!
Trojan Band Banquet Information
Attached is an invitation to the 2021 Lincoln Trojan Band Banquet & Awards Ceremony on May 23rd from 6pm to 10pm hosted by the Band Boosters. Due to COVID restrictions, we are holding the banquet at the Capital City Country Club located at 1601 Golf Terrace Drive. Masks will be required when not eating or drinking, but anyone who is not comfortable in an indoor, large group setting should not attend.
Tickets are $25 each. We are limiting attendance to allow for as much social distancing as possible, so tickets are available to band students and two parents per family. (Families with multiple band members are still limited to 2 parent tickets.) Senior tickets are complimentary, but you still must RSVP and complete the attached form. Please list each attendee’s name on the order form. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Please return your order form and check made payable to Lincoln Band Boosters by Friday, May 14. Include a student name and phone number on your check. Order forms can be placed in the black drop box outside Ms. Haugen’s office or mailed to Lincoln Band Boosters at PO Box 16163, Tallahassee, FL 32317.
Dinner will be served by staff and will be a Chili and Baked Potato Bar which will include Beef Chili & White Chicken Chili, Sweet Southern Cornbread, Baked Potatoes and a toppings bar. Dessert will be a Cake Bar including cheesecake, pound cake slices and brownies with assorted toppings as well as Dessert Dip, which is chocolate ganache and sweet cream cheese dip with apple slices, mixed berries and brownie bites.
